Eli's History of Violence

I've been getting calls about Eli.

His teachers have reported his tendency to munch on his classmates, and I've had to sign not one, not two, but FOUR biting reports this past week. This is no fun and I feel terrible for Eli's victims.

Finn was on the receiving end in his toddler class and got bitten at least twice a week. Naturally, we were pissed, but we knew it was part of the age. I sincerely think it's natural for kids to bite when they haven't mastered their verbal skillz and get frustrated. With Finn, it lasted for about 3 weeks and then the biting stopped. So we're working with Eli and nipping that nasty habit in the bud. It won't do to have a 2 year old daycare drop-out.

Unfortunately, Eli also has a habit of "bonking":

Poor Caleb. He treats the Beasties to a fun-filled day at Lake Winnie and what does he get in return? ABUSE.

So...all you "Creative Cats" get ready!
Leave a caption in the comments and you'll be eligible to receive a cool Hotwheel Hacienda gift! I'll draw for a winner next Tuesday and will email the winner. Contest will be closed at 6:00 PM central time.

Have fun!

I can relate to the idea of just biting someone.

OH ELI - THAT WAS A STINKY ONE!

It's not what the picture is about but that's what it looks like to me! :-)

I would have had no idea that Eli was a biter (and head butter). He's always so sweet and loving whenever I see him. What Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. :-)

Found you by way of McMommy -- love your reluctant blog :)

We're book lovers at our house too -- Tikki Tikki Tembo (No Sa Rembo) is also a fave. AND, my daughter's name WAS going to be Finn! My brother and his wife stole it out from under me a year after my daughter was born, and now I have a nephew Finn.

My brother gets REALLY upset when I call him Finny.

Have a great holiday weekend!

I LOVE Tikki Tikki Tembo! I used to be a children's librarian and that was one of my favorites to read at storytime.

As for the name... did you give your brother a knuckle sandwich for stealing Finn? It's a great one, but I'm biased!

My grandad called him "Flipper" and everyone thinks we're saying "Ben" when they ask his name. So now we say, "Finn-Short-For-Finnegan" and that seems to work. Because then they just think we're drunk Irish.

(We are.)

So Connery and Eli should hang out together to start a Biters Anonymous support group. And Hitters Anonymous. And Head Butters. And Slappers...

As for a comment for the pic...
HA! That's for sticking me in the corner yesterday...
