Boy Briefs, the Hodgepodge Version

A recent conversation with Finn:

Finn: "I gonna be Inyanna JONES for Halloweeeen. Eli gonna be a penguin 'cause he likes ice and its COLD."

Me: "Oookay... what is Daddy going to be?"

Finn: "A banana."

Me: "...... really?"

Finn: "'An you gonna be Panna Montanna. 'Cuz he a good singer and he rocks."

Is this a compliment or an insult?
And how do you even know who Hannah Montana is? ...YOU'RE THREE!!
We also have a bit of a pronoun problem we need to work on.

Overheard last week in response to meeting Kareem Abdul-Jabbar:

High School Kid: "Whoa. That's a lot of denim."

So Nebraska might be experiencing a population burst.

Having trouble with your angsty teen? Tired of worrying about curfews and underage drinking and premarital sex when it comes to your 16 year old?

OMAHA, Neb. - Nebraska’s new “safe-haven” law allowing parents to abandon unwanted children at hospitals with no questions asked is unique in a significant way: It goes beyond babies and potentially permits the abandonment of anyone under 19.
While lawmakers may not have intended it, the month-old law raises the possibility that frustrated parents could drop off misbehaving teens or even severely disabled older children with impunity.
“Whether the kid is disabled or unruly or just being a hormonal teenager, the state is saying: ’Hey, we have a really easy option for you,”’ said Adam Pertman, executive director of a New York adoption institute and a frequent critic of safe-haven laws.

All you parents out there probably discovered this fantastic treat a long time ago, but I have only recently found them out. Whole grains, natural ingredients, low-fat, gluten-free. And whose going to turn these down with a name like Pirate's Booty?

My boys liked it so well we had it for dinner tonight with apples, bananas, and cheese. Can you tell I'm still recuperating from the work week?

My husband is addicted to the Booty and our little Bean has it almost every day for a snack. The hubs insists the veggie version should count as a full serving of the vegetable food group because it's made of veggies. I'm still trying to find the fly in his logic.

P.S. I am so moving to Nevada before the Bean gets old enough to become obnoxious.

I was just thinking of blogging about Pirate Booty! Title? Bootylicious! Of course. I haven't considered making of meal of it yet, we'll have to try that.

I'll help you solve your pronoun problem if you can give me some help with a 3-year-old who refers to herself in the third person all day, every day.

Please post the Halloween pictures no later than November 1st. I will try to be patient.

You are right, Pirates Booty is great. My boys love it too.

Is it wrong that my friend and I joked about dropping the children off at the fire station all summer? They have the safe haven sign out front. It is on our way home.

Let me clear...

There is NO WAY on earth am I going to dress up like Hannah Montana. Unless, of course, I can be Miley Cyrus a la Annie Leibowitz... the Zombie version.

Now THAT I might could rock.

You made it!
I loved the 'that's a lot of demin' comment - hilarious!

I think that there is nothing wrong with a little Pirate Booty for dinner, you made it perfectly balanced ;)

You have full run on all costumes current and in for 2008. Dario's costume, while new, is a throwback to 1858. *that's a tease* ;-)

Tinnitus may be influenced by the quantity of salt that a individual utilizes regularly. Should you suffer from ringing in the ears and you also realize that the degree of it provides elevated, you need to be likely to cut the level of salt that you are consuming. The sea salt will impair blood flow and make stuff more serious for yourself. Illnerev5ss

Improving the home windows on your own property can go a long way with preserving your hard earned dollars on power fees. If you do not have energy efficient home windows on your residence, you may be spending an added ten to 20-5 percent on your electricity monthly bill each 30 days. Think of what sort of big difference that may make if you improve your windows along with other energy-conserving steps. interggf
